Lockheed Martin’s employee portal is at lmpeople.com, and if you are having trouble getting in, the most important thing to know upfront is that it has three separate login methods. Most failed logins happen because someone uses the wrong method, not because their password is actually wrong. This guide covers all three ways to access the LMPeople portal, walks through pay stubs and benefits navigation, explains the difference between internal and external access, and gives specific fixes for the problems employees and contractors run into most.
What Is LMPeople?
LMPeople is Lockheed Martin’s official employee self-service portal. With over 114,000 employees working across aerospace, defence, and government programmes worldwide, the company built LMPeople to give staff direct access to the things they actually need: pay stubs, benefits, timecards, and HR tools without going through a middleman.
It handles everything from W-2 downloads to retirement contribution adjustments. Contractors and retirees have their own access paths through the same portal. Think of it as your employment file, your payroll office, and your HR department combined into one login.

How to Log In to LMPeople: All Three Methods
Go to the LMPeople employee portal, and you will see three sign-in options on the login page.
Choose the one that matches how your facility configured your account. If you are not sure which applies to you, contact your facility IT helpdesk or HR before guessing; three failed attempts will lock your account.
Method 1: Smart Card or YubiKey
This is the standard method for employees working on-site at Lockheed Martin facilities. You need your company-issued Smart Badge or a YubiKey hardware token.
- Go to the LMPeople employee portal and select the Hardware Certificate option.
- Insert your Smart Card into the reader, or connect your YubiKey to a USB port.
- Enter your PIN when prompted.
- Click Login.
If the card reader is not recognising your Smart Card, check that the reader driver is installed correctly on your workstation. Try a different USB port for the YubiKey. If neither works, contact your facility IT helpdesk — not HR. Card reader issues are a technical problem, not an account problem.
Method 2: RSA SecurID Token
Used by employees working remotely or on personal devices without a VPN. You need your RSA SecurID physical device or software token app.
- Go to the LMPeople employee portal and select the SecurID option.
- Enter your Username.
- In the password field, type your PIN followed immediately by the 6-digit tokencode on your RSA device. No space between them.
- Click Login. The tokencode refreshes every 60 seconds and expires immediately after use. If the login fails, wait for a fresh code and try once more. Never retry with the same code.
🔐 RSA SecurID Entry Format
Combine your PIN and tokencode with no space:
[Your PIN] + [6-digit Tokencode]
Example: PIN is 1234, tokencode is 567890
Enter: 1234567890
Method 3: Username and Password
- Go to the LMPeople employee portal and select the standard sign-in option.
- Enter your Employee Identification Number (EIN) as your username.
- Enter your password. It must be at least 8 characters and include one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character.
- Complete any MFA prompt if your account has it enabled.
- Click Login.
New employees receive their EIN and temporary password during onboarding. If you did not receive yours, contact your HR representative before attempting to log in.
Internal vs External Access: Know the Difference
This is where a lot of remote employees get stuck.
Internal access means you are on a Lockheed Martin company network, either physically at a facility or connected through the official LM VPN. On-site employees typically use a Smart Card or a YubiKey.
External access means you are on a home network or personal device. External users must use RSA SecurID or their username and password. Some Lockheed Martin sites require you to connect to the company VPN before the portal will even load on an external connection. If you are working from home and the page is not loading, check with your facility’s IT helpdesk about VPN requirements before assuming your credentials are wrong.
LMPeople Pay and Benefits
After logging in, the Pay and Benefits section sits in the main navigation. Here is what each area gives you.
My Pay covers current and historical pay stubs, year-to-date earnings, overtime, bonus statements, and W-2 forms. Pay stubs download as PDFs directly from this section.
My Benefits shows your health insurance plan, medical, dental, vision, current enrollment status, and open enrollment dates. You can only change benefits during open enrollment or after a qualifying life event like marriage, a new child, or losing other coverage.
My Retirement shows your 401(k) contribution rate, investment allocation, account balance, and pension details where applicable. You can adjust your contribution percentage directly here.
My Timecard is where hourly employees log and submit hours. It also shows your remaining leave balance.
Benefits at a Glance
| Benefit | What’s Included |
|---|---|

Retiree Access
Lockheed Martin retirees access a separate version of the portal through the same login page at lmpeople.com. Select the retiree-specific option after reaching the portal. Retirees can check pension statements, healthcare coverage in retirement, savings plan history, and disaster relief fund information.
LMPeople Password Reset
If you use username and password login and cannot get in:
- Go to the LMPeople employee portal and click Forgot Password on the login page.
- Enter your Employee Identification Number.
- Verify your identity through your registered MFA method.
- Set a new password with a minimum of 8 characters, must include uppercase, lowercase, a number, and a special character.
- Log back in with your new credentials.
Troubleshooting Common Login Problems
Wrong login method chosen
The most common reason access fails. If the Smart Card is not working on a home device, it probably never will you need RSA SecurID or username and password for external access. Not sure which method your account uses?
RSA token code rejected
Never retry the same code. Wait for a fresh one; they cycle every 60 seconds and enter it immediately. Remember: no space between PIN and tokencode.
Smart Card not recognised
Try a different USB port. Reinstall the card reader driver if available. If the Smart Card itself is damaged or expired, contact your facility security office. IT cannot issue replacements.
Account locked
Happens after multiple failed attempts. You cannot unlock it yourself. Call HR on 1-866-562-2363 during support hours (8 am–8 pm EST).
Page not loading
Clear your browser cache (Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Chrome) and try again. Use Chrome or Edge; both are officially supported. If on a home network, connect to the LM VPN first if your facility requires it.
First login as a new employee
Your EIN was given during onboarding, usually in a welcome email or printed document from HR. Do not guess; contact your HR representative.
